Hi there- I am Becki Taylor, the cook behind this blog.  I decided to write this blog as a place to write out my recipes and help people to see that cooking is not difficult, and can be very rewarding.  I would love to teach classes to those who want to go back to basics with cooking- learning how to can, pickle, knead bread- the simple ways of good home cooking.  So, I thought to start here, to teach from the internet, and perhaps one day, have in-house classes.  We'll see.

A few of my children have food allergies, so I had to learn new ways of cooking good food and making them gluten-free and dairy free, and also experiment with some vegan cooking.  So some of my recipes will be catered to those dietary needs.
